Did Muhammad pbuh ask Muslims to build grand mosques?

some people did build a mosque but wouldn't go on jihad with mohammad. so mohammad had them placed in their mosque and burn alive. non-muslims can just google,'' muslims burned alive in their mosque and learn about this!
