Two Academic Dishonesty Violations...Possible Expulsion?

To make a long story short I've received two academic dishonesty violations over the past two semesters at a public university in Georgia. The first one was for minor plagiarism on a French oral presentation and the second one was for unauthorized assistance (looking at my phone) during the final exam of my biotech lab class. As of now I have accepted both the sanctions and chose not to appeal them to an academic honesty panel. I am currently a senior, and I only need two complete two more classes to graduate. According to policy, if you receive two academic dishonesty violations the student has to get a permanent dishonesty transcript notation and meet with a multiple violations review board that assigns either a suspension, dismissal, or expulsion. Once it gets to the multiple violations board level what can I say/do to persuade the board to not expel me. I am willing to provide all documents of both accusations of academic dishonesty through email and anything else one would deem necessary to advise me further. Also does anyone know of any reputable lawyers in Georgia who are adept at dealing with academic dishonesty cases? I have searched everywhere on the internet and I have not found one. Thanks all

Yes, you can train your self to become more analytical, but unless it is something you enjoy doing all the time, it won't work out. I am a very analytical person, to the point where i wont even read a book if the descriptions arn't good enough because it frustrates me. Most people who are like this do not have very good social lives, because they analyze there own relationships to much. It is biologically impossible not to be, however, you must make sure that you never let your emotions help you in a deducing details and connecting things. Remember the entire reason for paying attention to the details isn't to see the details themselves, but to make the connections between the details to come to a conclusion. Given your age it is not likely that your symptoms are from a stroke or anything like that however wekness on one side (even just in your arm or hand) can be a stroke symptom. More often than not with a younger patient having these symptoms, there may be a buldging or herniated disc (yes the spelling is correct) in your neck pressing on a nerve root causing the weakness. It's pretty common and is something that can be diagnosed with a simple 20 minute MRI scan of your cervical spine. You should definately see your doctor. And as I said before, I am not a doctor and this is not professional medical advice - so take my answer for what it's worth.

I'm only 20, but I definitely know what you are talking about. Although I don't have a family (of my own) or a job, I still become depressed sometimes because I'm always wanting more. What I realized, though, is that I wasn't living for myself, but rather for everyone else in the world. I mean you are kinda stuck right now because you have kids, but I would just look at what you have right now and come at it with a whole new attitude. Instead of dreading waking up every day, you can take what you have and make it something new. Maybe you can talk to your husband about how you feel, because lack of communication in relationship causes a lot of deep frustration. You might be surprised as to what he has to say. you sound like a wonderful person, so don't let your life go to waste. Is there something psychologically wrong with my grandmother?

Okay, im 13, she's 76. I went to bath and body works and got myself a ceramic strawberry candle holder, and a few candles to go in it. I left it downstairs... and i come back because i woke upp... it was gone... my grandma had thrown away my mountain dew when i deliberately told her not to throw it away. and she said clearly okay. then, she said later on when i was looking for it " i throw it away, you didn't tell me not to throw away your bottle " when i KNOW i did. Then when i was looking for my candle, ceramic jar, and the lighter, she told me flat out, she doesnt have it in her room. But I smelled my candle in her room. I went back upstairs. I snuck downstairs, i heard her close my ceramic jar. And i saw her taking out the lighter and putting it back in the drawer where she said it was, and made me look for it for about 5 minutes. I confronted her, and she said it was in there. I was like omg with a serious face. I was pissed because i knew for a fact shhe was lying. then my mom came downstairs, and my grandma told my mom, i have the lighter in my room because i took it and her candle ceramic.... like why are you going to lie to me, when all i needed was that because i like taking baths with a candle lit. Is there a psychological problem that has to do with hiding things, and lying? if so... waht's it called? Chevy Equinox wont start?

I have an 06 Equinox, and today when I got into the car and turned the key, nothing happened. The car wouldn't start, the cluster lights wouldn't come on, the radio wont come on. But, the head lights come on and the dome lights come on, also when I lock the door the confirmation tone signifying the the door has locked sounds, so I doubt it's a dead battery issue. I changed the fuses to the battery feed, and the ignition and still I'm getting the same problem. Any Ideas as to what the issue could be.

There's this guy I text like everyday and talk to on the phone. How do I get my highlights to hold a new color?

A couple of months ago, I went to a salon and got my hair highlighted with purple and LOVED it... for about a month. The problem is it washed out extremely fast. Now, I have started dyeing my hair at home (let's face it, the salon can really hurt your checkbook), unfortunately, even though I am using Feria Midnight Black, which puts very subtle blueish highlights in my hair, it also washes out extremely fast leaving me with this strange grayish color. I am only 28 years old and certainly am not wanting to have gray in my hair quite yet! Does anyone have any tips about what I can do to make those highlights hold my color longer? I would like to not have to spend a fortune at a professional and am pretty adept at doing my own hair. Any tips would be great!! Thanks!

If you're really interested in making friends, then you should be able to connect with people who already share your interests. It never hurts to check out things other people are into though.

How Do You Catch A Thief?

My brother and I are trying to catch a thief that robbed us today or last night. Our family went to our Lake House at 5:30pm.We came home at 2:30 and when we saw our house ransacked, we called the police immediately. Our dad left about 30 minutes later. They took an Xbox 360, 2 Xbox controllers, my brothers laptop, Cod BO, MW2, and a Wii. We think it's our next door neighbors because they've snuck into our hOuse before and robbed us before. One of them already has a criminal record too when the other doesn't. They are brother and sister while the brother is a drug dealer. He delivers to another drug dealer up the street. Our neighbors suspected something was going on. We need a lot of help because it's our stuff they stole and we want it back. Can you give us any ideas. We are going to Gamestop to tell them if anyone comes in selling a Xbox360 2 controllers a Wii and BO and MW2 that those were stolen.

I've been TTC a LONG time...recently started herbal therapy and acupuncture...I have heard good things about it. I ovulated about 9 days ago. I have had lower abdominal cramps for a few days and this evening, I am overwhelmed with nausea. I hardly EVER get nauseated. My period isn't due for another several days...My breasts are also swollen and tender. Is it possible to have symptoms this early? Help!!! I'm scared of growing up!!?

So i'm 13, turning 14 in the summer, and I'm scared of growing up!! I feel like such a little kid compared to most people I know!!! Like half of them are pot heads, some sneak out of their houses to hang out with friends at like 3 in the morning, most get drunk like every weekend, some girls I know have given guys blow jobs and have gotten fingured, and most guys have gotten blow jobs!! The worst thing I've done is get home like 20 minutes late from hanging out with friends!!! Like most of the people (and we are only in grade 8) think that getting drunk is no big deal, and when they find out somebody has never gotten drunk (like me) they would make a huge deal out of it!! Some guys today were bragging about something that happened during the weekend, saying that they all snuck out at like 2 in the morning to hang out and invited 3 grade 9 girls. Well, 2 of those girls snuck out some vodka and shot glasses from their parents and all but 2 of the kids got drunk (the other 2 only had 2 shots they say) and this kid (he's 12!!) and one of the girls locked themselves in one of the bedrooms, and the guy fingered the girl and the girl gave the guy a ********!! And today one guy in my class came to school after lunch drunk!!!! And my best friend, her boyfriend is a drug dealer and does weed and so does she. So I feel like a little 5 year old kid compared to everyone else, and now I'm scared of growing up if it means doing all that stuff......plus I'm going to high school next year and this makes me even more scared!!! Ok this is weird but I feel like I need help and I'm too embarassed to tell anyone about this fetish which is so strange that I cannot categorize it. The closest fetish I can see it being is a fat fetish but its different. Let me try to explain. Cd player and wiring/fuse?

I sold my cd player two days ago because im getting a new one tomorrow and left the wires hanging out taped so they wont fall in the dash. Last night i turned on my car and when I reached for the gear to put it in drive my hand had hit the wires and i heard the spark sound from them. I looked at my speed ometer and couldnt see it because the lights where they were had went out. The car was still on, my dome, and my headlights where on to. Why was this lizard and garter snake following me and why were they seeking one anothers company?

For some odd reason and this may sound even a bit strange but why was this garter snake and lizard following me? and I still don't understand what is a lizard and a garter snake doing together? It's like their seeking each other for companionship but here's the story: So i'm walking outside to go and take out the trash and what not as I usually always do and i've came across this garter snake and this lizard which are pretty common here in california and there's a lot of them in my apartment complex but anyway these animals were just seeking each other and these were "wild" animals that live in the wild of civilization, the people who live around are use to the animals but can't remember the name of the species of lizard they're pretty small and grayish, me and my cousins would always catch them in our backyard and feed them to our bearded dragon named "KeKe" when we were little and they still have her to this day and she is very healthy and happy but as I was walking towards the trash can or dumpster that's in our parking lot i've heard a little noise behind me and it was really quiet but I threw the trash away turned around and guess what? yup the snake and lizard were right behind me and i'm not making this up either, they were just staring at me and not in a threatening way and i've tried to not appear as a threat to them and at first after i've turned around and saw them I had turned my head up and tried not to make eye contact with them so they won't feel threaten and kept on walking but they was catching up to me real fast and i've tried to get them away from me and not in my house and believe me I was stuck outside for awhile lol trying to get them away but then i've picked them up and moved them to a further area but not far enough from their territory and ran as fast as I could but they were so fast that they kept catching up to me after every attempt to get them away these animals were very smart but then i've had my sister get a little piece of meat and i've found some insects to give to them to distract them so I could run back in the house but it was not working at all but then finally they took their eyes off of me for a second then I snuck as fast as I can back into my house and made it and then I was looking out my window to come found out that the lizard and garter snake was still there just staring out the door but then i've found this little empty 20 gallon aquarium in my closet and went back out to get them and set them inside and they gave me no problem what so ever, i'm going to release them back soon but for now they'll just stay in the aquarium with the proper lighting/heat source for them to stay warm and a cool side to stay cool and I have a huge water dish for them to drink out of and newspaper as substrate and i've even set them next to my bed so they could see me and I could see them since they were for some reason seeking my company which I still don't understand? but they still seem to be happy and healthy since i've captured them but could somebody please explain to me what was a garter snake and a lizard doing together seeking company? and why were they following me? i'm going to try and post a picture of them and get a video up soon on them before I release them and show you this shocking unusual reptile behavior and i'm going to post it up on youtube so stay tune and my youtube channel is a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/emoneyo2" rel="nofollow"http://www.youtube.com/user/emoneyo2/a but sorry this question was so long but please read it, this is one of my interesting and unusual questions i've ever posted in the reptile section but could somebody explain this unusual behavior among these two animals that goes against their instincts.

Should I let my non muslim sister and her non muslim boyfriend stay at my home?

I'm a muslim, so is my wife and our children. My parents are non muslims and so is my sister and her boyfriend. The plan was for my parents and sister to stop off at my home for a week then go to visit a friend for a few days further down the country. Now my parents and sister (who have already asked the person in question) are suggesting that her boyfriend comes too. Get a small dog from a rescue that has been fostered! They can give you SO much information about the dogs living in their homes! Take your dog over to meet the dog, and then go from there. I have just adopted a little dog from a rescue group---he was/is Everything the foster mom said he was. The bonus here is that he turned out to be even more special! The minute I met this little dog it was instant bonding between he and I ! I went home from picking him up, and I KNEW this dog was born to be with me! I have absolutely NO regrets! I may have saved this little dog's life---the thought of him being "put_down" because he had no home, is gut-wrenching for me to contemplate! I've been playing this game for about a week now, and I ran out of food for honey, and i hardly grow any food from the big peach tree. Why does it keep turning?

i have a fancy dining room in my house that we never use like never. it just sits there and looks good. the ceiling and walls are white. the rest of the house is darker shades of grey. well the ceiling in the room keeps turning yellow!!!!!!!!! i had my hubby paint it and a few months later the white went to yellow like someone snuck in with a yellow paint brush and painted it in the middle of the night!!! i dont smoke in that room very much. i smoke in my office down the hall and in the living room and the kitchen and my bedroom but not in that room only when im walking thru it. what do you think the cause is and how can i prevent it????????????? i want white!!!

I have a 2004 ford escape...My battery and altenator went out and when my car died my radio went out now that I have got a new battery and altenator my radio still wont work (at all, no display) also my locks wont work unless the key is in the ignition and turned, also dome lights wont work at all either. Will my older female cats hurt my 2 new female kittens? ?

I have an 8 mnth old Tabby/Serengeti female and 12 wk old Tabby/Persian female kitten. Why do people seem to go to amazing lengths to display incredible amounts of uncalled for rudeness?

The 2 biggest places it seems to happen are in high school and on the internet. I was just recently ditched by my 2 "best friends" for other people, and now they seem to feel the need to treat me like total crap in order to impress them. Seeing as they shut me out, I've decided to do the same, and I haven't willingly talked to them since. Then there's my class (the 2 people who shut me out are younger than me) who will sneak up on me, smash a chair over my head, and laugh at me. I'll turn around, ask what's your problem? Then I'll get the holy, calm down it was just a joke routine. Then there's the internet. I'm only really part of one social network, youtube, and all I do is comment. I'd say next to facebook, youtube is the worst. That's why I dont (and never will) have a facebook. I could post some completely innocent comment on youtube,and some jerk will look freakishly deep into it, find something insulting, and bash me down over it. so here I am not arguing and just asking the person to calm down, and they'll just keep right on cussing me out. I just find it hard to function in modern society whilst being constantly picked on and bashed down by people who feel the need to belittle others to enlarge themselves. What can I do to cope? (no rude comments, this place is pretty bad too sometimes)

Intense stomach pains?!? please help me!?

every few months I get these SUPER intense stomach pains, it usually occurs at around 12:00 to 1:30 in the morning (if I'm awake) or if I'm not awake as soon as I wake up. they are really bad and I end up literally screaming in pain on how bad it is. I immediately try to go bathroom and usually end up taking a massive s***, but even after the pain could persist up to an hour and a half. during that hour and a half I'm usually on the toilet s****** my brains out to oblivion. I have an old Acer Travelmate 2440 laptop. About 6 years ago when I got it I put a "primary master HDD password" on it. when it started to get old i set it aside. My filly is too young to be weaned but Mom is struggling....?

I have a filly born 5/6/11 and for being under 2 months old, she is HUGE... Mom doesn't fuss about feeding time but filly is sucking her dry. My hedgehogs cage has these teeny tiny black bugs in it. i cannot figure out what they are. They are in and on her lil black fleece pocket but i havent seen them anywhere else. she has a lil tent under her dome but there arent any there. How to convince my mom to let me play Pokemon?

OK I'm 14 and my mom won't let me play Pokemon because she thinks that it is supportive of eastern religions. She thinks that if I play it I will become a person who believes in Hinduism or something. My family is Christian, so that may be why she's so worried about it, but I still think it's ridiculous. Ok so this girl and I got together before school let out. I used to sneak over to her house and everything cuz she lived across the street. Pontiac Grand Am problems with lights and remote?

My left foglight is out, right reverse light is out in the back, and inside dome light is out. All other lights are working fine. Checked the fuses but they are fine. Was going to change dome light bulb but when i hit it the light came on but then went out so idk what up with that. Don't know about the cracks in its shell but nail polish does not seem like a good thing on it. I bought one just last week and the only thing I did was to sit it very carefully, firmly into the gravel so he could latch onto it (they'll drown if you just plop it in upside-down). Within only a minute it found dissolving catfish pellet so if you are feeding fish, then the snail will eat the leftovers and will move all around the aquarium sucking up the algae -they love that slimy stuff! Just forgo the lettuce. Our veggie food decomposes too fast & will only turn the water to muck. Hope that helps ya!

Why is my cat too scared to go outside unless im with her?

I adopted her when she was about 8 or 10 weeks old from an animal shelter and she is now a year old. I've been allowing her to go outside since I got her, however when she does go into the backyard its only about 10 feet from the door and no farther. Very rarely I see her sneak into the neighbors yard but she stays right by the gate and comes back when I call her. I leave my backdoor open in the mornings and she will just sit on the doorstep but won't go out unless I go with her, and even then she stays close to the door. if I close the door and she is outside she scratches the door and cries until I let her in (I never lock her out, it just happens by accident sometimes). I just find it strange because we always had lots of cats and my mom always took in strays when we were little and all of them would go outside for hours at a time. Does your cat do this? And please don't tell me not to let my cat outside. Thanks.
