What is wrong with my Xbox 360?
I have an Xbox 360 Pro. It's about 7 years old and finally after all this time it decided to quit on me. The Dvd drive stopped reading disks and only certain games would work then finally it wouldn't read anything. I am fairly adept and working on electronics and I know how to repair Xbox 360's so I decided to fix it myself. I bought a new Laser lens for my Hitachi Dvd drive and took the solder ball off to make sure the connection was through (so thats not the problem). It works and blinks red like it is supposed to. I then bought a new tray opener motor even though my other one worked fine just in case, along with a new Laser lens motor to make it move and a new disk motor to make the disk spin. I bought a new dvd drive board to make sure it wasn't a connection problem through that. (which it wasn't) There is absolutely nothing wrong with my dvd drive now, all parts are replaced and functional, and my disk still won't spin. I think it has something to do with the xbox 360 itself and not the drive but I wanted to get a second opinion before I decide to buy a new one in case its fixable. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Mike
